Following my undergraduate degree in psychology at Newcastle University, I started my career in the field of psychotherapy, working in a research capacity in Primary Care Mental Health Services, which involved managing multiple research studies, analysing data, and writing manuscripts for academic journals. I then gained an MSc in organisational psychology at the University of Leeds Business School, which taught me invaluable skills in advanced research methods and statistics, organisational development, and consultancy. 

The fascinating industry of Medical Communications, with the variety and constantly evolving landscape, was the perfect match for my desire to continuously learn. My time working in the industry has reinforced my knowledge of psychiatry, psychopharmacology, neurology, and neuroscience, and complemented it with an ever-growing and more granular understanding of medicine, pharmacology, biochemistry, genetics, healthcare system organisation, health communication, marketing, design, user experience, educational programme development, and more.

I have delivered successful projects for clients across the globe, both in agencies and as a freelancer, over more than six and a half years in Medical Communications. My experience covers a wide range of stakeholders, therapy areas, and deliverables. I am always keen to deep-dive into new subjects; I love the challenge of quickly getting to grips with a new project type, therapy area, disease, or product, and broadening my knowledge.

Delivering accurate, guideline-compliant, concise, and engaging copy, tailored for different audience and project requirements, is the core of my work. I always consider how compelling narratives, design, user experience, brand strategy, stakeholder alignment, expert involvement, and metrics can be leveraged to develop and deliver projects that create value for my clients.
